What Is a Return-to-Duty Testing?
A return-to-duty (RTD) drug test is a mandatory drug screen that an employee must pass — with a verified negative result — before returning to safety-sensitive work duties after a DOT drug and alcohol program violation. Under 49 CFR Part 40, the employee must first complete an evaluation by a DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), follow the SAP's recommended education or treatment, and then pass a directly observed return-to-duty test. The RTD test is followed by a program of unannounced follow-up testing for up to 5 years. SafeTouch Enterprise provides the required directly observed collection and coordinates with your SAP and MRO.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule without a fee. Cancellations or reschedules made within 48 hours of the appointment are subject to a rescheduling fee. No-shows (no call, no appearance) require rebooking before a new appointment can be confirmed. We do not offer refunds on completed tests or services.
