What Is a Non-DOT Urine Drug Test?
A non-DOT urine drug test is a standard 5-, 9-, or 10-panel drug screen used by private employers, legal professionals, and individuals who are not subject to Department of Transportation regulations. It tests for the most common substances of abuse — marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, PCP — and can be customized with extended panels for additional substances. Urine tests detect drug use within the past 1–5 days for most substances (up to 30 days for marijuana with heavy use). Results are reviewed by a licensed Medical Review Officer (MRO) before reporting.
