Do all tested parties need to be present at the same time?

No. The alleged father, mother, and child can be collected at separate appointments as long as all are scheduled through SafeTouch Enterprise to maintain chain-of-custody documentation. Your attorney may also arrange split collections.

How is a legal paternity test different from a home/peace-of-mind test?

A legal test requires witnessed, documented ID verification and chain-of-custody packaging — steps that make results court-admissible. A home or peace-of-mind test skips these steps, so while the DNA accuracy is identical, the results cannot be used in court.

Can the mother be excluded from the test?

Yes. The mother's sample is optional — a legal paternity test can be performed with just the alleged father and child. Including the mother strengthens the statistical certainty of the result, but it is not required.

Will these results be accepted in Maryland family court?

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule without a fee. Cancellations or reschedules made within 48 hours of the appointment are subject to a rescheduling fee. No-shows (no call, no appearance) require rebooking before a new appointment can be confirmed. We do not offer refunds on completed tests or services.
